Raleigh, NC (July 10, 2025)The 12-hour, multi-class CrowdStrike Veterans Race of Remembrance is just four months away and preparations for the November event have reached full throttle.

Operation Motorsport® announced it will field four cars at the inaugural race Nov. 7-9, 2025 at VIRginia International Raceway (VIR). It’s North America’s first endurance racing tribute weekend centered around Veterans Day (U.S.)/Remembrance Day (Canada) and benefits Operation Motorsport’s programs for medically released/retired military veterans or veterans with a service-connected disability in the U.S. and Canada. Along with a 12-hour, multi-class endurance race, special events include a Heroes Dinner, pitlane Remembrance Ceremony and veteran expo.

With an assist by Random Vandals Racing and Powersports Garage, both of whom support or host veterans participating in Operation Motorsport’s Motorsport Immersion program, veteran beneficiaries will campaign the following entries:

  • BMW M4 GT4s – Car No. 11 and Car No. 22
  • Mazda Spec Miatas – Car No. 011 and Car No. 022

“It’s an honor and privilege for Random Vandals to support Operation Motorsport’s American and Canadian entries in first Race of Remembrance at VIR, our home track. This is our fourth year working with Operation Motorsport, and as a US Navy veteran myself, this race is incredibly meaningful. I can’t wait to get to work with my fellow vets. Let’s go!” said Paul Sparta, Team Principal of Random Vandals Racing.

These entries will be supported by a joint American/Canadian team of up to 20 beneficiary crew members, 10 volunteers and 16 drivers, continuing the organization’s mission of delivering Team, Identity and purpose to medically transitioning service members and disabled veterans.

“Bringing this event to North America shifted everything for us,” said Tiffany Lodder, Executive Director of Operation Motorsport. “It’s no longer just a race—it’s become a rallying point. A place where the veteran and motorsport communities come together to honour, reflect and move forward. The energy we’re already seeing says it all—this momentum is real and it’s only getting stronger.”

The CrowdStrike Veterans Race of Remembrance was inspired by a similar event Operation Motorsport participated in in Wales, U.K. After attending the race for so many years, Operation Motorsport staff decided an event of this magnitude could be beneficial to veterans in North America. Corporate partners who supported Operation Motorsport’s efforts in Wales that will continue on to support this event include CrowdStrike, AWS, Michelin (Official Tire Partner) and Mobil 1 (Official Lubricant Partner).

To support bringing veterans from the U.S. and Canada to the CrowdStrike Veterans Race of Remembrance at VIR, Operation Motorsport has continued the popular Honoring Heroes Campaign, inviting the public to submit the name of a veteran or currently serving military member for display on one of the four race cars. A $22 tax-deductible donation secures a placement on the hood, while all Operation Motorsport beneficiaries will be included by default—whether they’re on the ground or with the team in spirit.

The Official Event Poster, designed by Operation Motorsport volunteer Tyler Manning, features the BMW and Mazda marques and captures the emotional and competitive spirit of the weekend.

About the Veterans Race of Remembrance

The CrowdStrike Veterans Race of Remembrance Powered by AWS is the first of its kind in North America endurance motorsport event, to be held annually over Veteran / Remembrance Day weekend at VIRginia International Raceway. In the spirit of the original Race of Remembrance, which was founded by Mission Motorsport in the UK in 2013, the USAC Sanctioned motorsport racing event weekend honors the service and sacrifice of military veterans, while providing a platform for recovery through motorsport. The 2025 event features a 12-hour multi-class endurance race, Radical World Finals, Ford Mustang Cup, and a poignant trackside Remembrance Day service. The event unites veterans, racers, teams, and supporters in a tribute to those who have served.
