International Women’s Day (March 8th) is an opportunity to pause and recognize the contributions, strength, and leadership of women in every part of our society. It is also a moment to acknowledge the many ways women support those who have served, often without recognition and frequently behind the scenes.

Across the military and veteran community, women play an essential role. Many have served in uniform themselves, bringing skill, courage, and professionalism to their duties in Canada, the United States, and allied nations. Others continue to serve in different ways after the uniform comes off, working in veteran support organizations, healthcare, education, and community programs that help veterans rebuild their lives.

Equally important are the spouses, partners, mothers, daughters, and family members who stand beside those who have served. Their support, patience, and resilience are often the steady foundation that allows veterans to navigate the challenges that can follow military service. The role they play is rarely highlighted, yet it is central to the strength and wellbeing of the veteran community.

Within motorsport and beyond, we see women contributing as leaders, engineers, administrators, volunteers, competitors, and mentors. Their perspectives, professionalism, and commitment strengthen the environments they are part of and help ensure that opportunities continue to expand for the next generation.

At Operation Motorsport, we see this every day. Women across our community contribute their time, talent, and leadership to help create an environment where veterans can rediscover team, identity, and purpose. But the spirit of that support extends far beyond any one organization. It lives in families, communities, workplaces, and teams that believe in standing beside those who have served.

On this International Women’s Day, we extend our appreciation to the women who serve, the women who support those who have served, and the women who help build stronger communities for veterans and their families.

Your impact is real, and it matters.

What makes Operation Motorsport different?

Operation Motorsport Helped Me Clarify My Direction

“Operation Motorsport didn’t just give me new experiences, it put me in front of an F1 car with my camera. That moment made my dream clear: one day I want to work with a race team and create the kind of emotional, story-driven content that lets people feel the passion behind the machine. OPMO showed me that dream is still within reach.”

Operation eMotorsport League –

Round 2 RECAP – Watkins Glen International

Round 2 of the Operation Motorsport iRacing League Season 12 took 29 cars to the grid at Watkins Glen International — a circuit that demands full commitment and punishes lapses in focus from the first lap to the last.

Qualifying set the tone early, with Elias Roman claiming pole in the LMP2 class, Martin “Bob” Wallace setting the benchmark in the Porsche Cup, Chance Sheffield leading the way in the GT3 Beneficiary class, and Mason Cardounel taking pole in the GT4 Open Class.

When the lights went out, Watkins Glen showed its teeth. The technical layout — particularly the Bus Stop — created real consequences for anyone pushing beyond the limit. Richard Davenport found that out the hard way, getting caught up in a crash from P2 in the Beneficiary class while navigating that section. Meatball flags were handed out throughout the race as the circuit extracted its toll, and more than a few drivers had spins to recover from on a track that doesn’t allow your focus to drift even for a moment.

Despite the attrition, the racing was fierce and competitive across every class right to the checkered flag. When it was all said and done, Elias Roman took the win in LMP2 Pro, Louis Rios in LMP2 Pro Beneficiary, Martin “Bob” Wallace in Porsche Cup Pro, Chris Glandon in Porsche Cup Pro Beneficiary, Chance Sheffield in GT3 Beneficiary, and Mason Cardounel in Open Class.

Two rounds down, Season 12 already has momentum. If Watkins Glen is the standard, the races ahead are going to be worth watching.
