Six Hours, One Exciting Day of Racing: What You Need to Know for the CrowdStrike Veterans Race of Remembrance Powered by AWS

  • New event hosted by motorsport non-profit Operation Motorsport® by veterans, for veterans during Veterans Day (U.S.)/Remembrance Day (Canada) weekend

Raleigh, N.C., 3 Nov. 2025 – The brand-new race by veterans, for veterans is just days away. Here’s what you need to know about the six-hour CrowdStrike Veterans Race of Remembrance at VIRginia International Raceway Nov. 7-9, 2025, hosted by Operation Motorsport®.

VETERAN DRIVERS, CREW & TEAM OWNERS: Most of the teams competing have a direct tie to the military, in the U.S., Canada or the UK. Resilience Racing (U.S.) and Team BRIT (UK) have partnered to field the No. 249 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 outfitted with adaptive hand controls from Skip Barber Racing School for its all-disabled veteran driving squad. Operation Motorsport’s four cars provided by Random Vandals Racing (US) and Powersports Garage (Canada) will be crewed by medically released/retired military veterans who participate in the nonprofit organization’s Motorsport Immersion program. Random Vandals’ team owner Paul Sparta is a U.S. Navy veteran.

HEROES DINNER: The race weekend begins Friday evening with the signature Heroes Dinner, a cornerstone event of the CrowdStrike Veterans Race of Remembrance Powered by AWS. This casual evening in a formal setting honors service, recovery and resilience, bringing together veterans, sponsors, team members and supporters to celebrate the mission of “Veteran Recovery Through Motorsport.” The dinner emcee is renowned motorsport commentator Ryan Myrehn, features a keynote from CJ Moses CISO, VP of Security Engineering at Amazon, veteran and race car driver, and remarks from leaders in both the military/veteran and motorsport communities, as well as a live auction of unique motorsport collectables and memorabilia.

VETERANS’ EXPO: Veterans organizations will be on site to help connect those who have served with services they need – from job leads to mental health support – including: North Carolina Department of Military and Veterans Affairs; the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Make the Connection; North Carolina Veteran’s Business Association; Mission Roll Call; Carahsoft; Cloudera; Collision Careers; BDO; Track Heroes; Racing for Heroes; the 11/11 Veteran Project; Ferguson Enterprises; and SEPATEC (Southeast Propane Alliance Technical Education Center).

REMEMBRANCE SERVICE: The CrowdStrike Veterans Race of Remembrance Powered by AWS will pause at 10:40 a.m. ET Saturday for a poignant pit lane Remembrance service in honor of Armistice Day, marked globally on November 11 at 11 a.m., when hostilities in World War I (“The Great War”) ended. Wreaths furnished by Giles Flowerland in Danville, Va. will be placed in honor of the military heroes who have given their lives in service to their countries.

RADICAL WORLD FINALS AND MUSTANG CUP CHAMPIONS TO BE DETERMINED: Coming out to the track? The CrowdStrike Veterans Race of Remembrance Powered by AWS isn’t the only thing you’ll see. The Radical Cup World Finals and Mustang Cup will both determine champions over one exciting weekend of racing.
