1000 Names. 1000 Stories. | | | - The Honoring Heroes Campaign Returns for 2026
| |
Raleigh, NC (July 2, 2026) –
Every name tells a story. Every story deserves to be carried forward.
For the sixth consecutive year, Operation Motorsport is proud to launch our Honoring Heroes Campaign, inviting families, friends, veterans, and supporters to Carry Their Legacy by recognizing the military heroes who have shaped their lives.
| | |
With a donation of just $22, you can have the name of your military hero carried into competition on one of our four Operation Motorsport race cars competing in the 2026 CrowdStrike Veterans Race of Remembrance Powered by AWS at Virginia International Raceway this November.
Whether your hero served generations ago, is serving today, or made the ultimate sacrifice, their name becomes part of something much greater than a race weekend.
| | It becomes part of a living tribute. | | |
As our veteran beneficiaries prepare the cars, work alongside professional race teams, and take the green flag, they carry those names with them every lap around Virginia International Raceway. Every mile driven is a reminder that the freedoms we enjoy today were earned through the courage, sacrifice, and selfless service of ordinary people who answered an extraordinary call.
| | |
Since launching the Honoring Heroes Campaign in 2019, thousands of names from Canada and the United States have been carried into competition during the Veterans Race of Remembrance. What began as a simple idea has become one of Operation Motorsport’s most meaningful traditions—a powerful way for our community to honour those who served while supporting veterans who are writing the next chapter of their own recovery journey.
| | This year, we’re asking our community to help us reach our most ambitious goal yet. | | |
Across our four Veterans Race of Remembrance entries, we hope to honour 1,000 military heroes—250 names on each hood—creating four rolling tributes that represent the service, sacrifice, and stories of heroes from both the United States and Canada.
| | |
Every $22 tribute directly supports Operation Motorsport’s mission of engaging medically releasing and retired military veterans through motorsport while ensuring that the stories of those who served before them are never forgotten.
| | |
Whether you choose to honor a parent, grandparent, spouse, sibling, child, friend, mentor, or fellow service member, your gift becomes more than a donation. It becomes a promise that their legacy will continue to inspire others.
| Because heroes deserve to be remembered. | Because their stories deserve to be carried forward. | | And because every lap we drive is made possible by the generations who served before us. | | Honor a Hero – Support a Veteran – Carry Their Legacy | | |
This November, when our four Operation Motorsport race cars roll onto the grid at Virginia International Raceway, we hope they will carry 1000 names – 1000 stories of courage, sacrifice, and service.
Help us fill every hood and ensure that every lap is driven in their honour.

About the Veterans Race of Remembrance
The CrowdStrike Veterans Race of Remembrance Powered by AWS is the first of its kind in North America endurance motorsport event, to be held annually over Veteran / Remembrance Day weekend at VIRginia International Raceway. In the spirit of the original Race of Remembrance, which was founded by Mission Motorsport in the UK in 2013, the USAC Sanctioned motorsport racing event weekend honors the service and sacrifice of military veterans, while providing a platform for recovery through motorsport. The 2025 event features a 12-hour multi-class endurance race, Radical World Finals, Ford Mustang Cup, and a poignant trackside Remembrance Day service. The event unites veterans, racers, teams, and supporters in a tribute to those who have served.
