Building Team, Identity, and Purpose: Fisher House Hero Miles Fuels Operation Motorsport’s Mission

Since the spring of 2024, Operation Motorsport has been privileged to receive remarkable support from Fisher House Foundation’s Hero Miles program. Through their generosity, 56 flights were donated to U.S. veterans participating in Operation Motorsport’s Motorsport Immersion Program. These flights connected veterans with life-changing opportunities, removing a critical barrier to participation and enabling them to join the immersive experiences that are the cornerstone of our mission to build Team, Identity, and Purpose.

The impact of this partnership cannot be overstated. By alleviating the financial burden of airfare, Fisher House has allowed Operation Motorsport to redirect limited program funds toward other essential activation costs. This financial flexibility has opened doors for even more veterans to join the program, resulting in a 5% net increase in activations this year. Furthermore, Fisher House’s support has directly contributed to a 50% increase in Beneficiaries active within the IMSA paddock and a 40% increase in the SRO paddock, expanding the reach and influence of our programs in ways that simply would not have been possible otherwise.

At the heart of our efforts lies the Motorsport Immersion Program, designed to empower medically retiring or medically retired service members by immersing them in collaborative motorsport team environments. These environments foster camaraderie, rebuild a sense of identity, and instill renewed purpose. With each activation, Beneficiaries are welcomed into a tight-knit community that values their skills, resilience, and experiences—offering them a renewed path forward.

Strengthening Our Mission Through Partnerships

The success of Operation Motorsport’s programs is built upon the unwavering support of partners who share our dedication to serving the veteran community. Our collaboration with Fisher House Foundation is a prime example of how partnerships drive impact. Fisher House’s commitment to easing the burdens of military families and veterans aligns seamlessly with Operation Motorsport’s mission, and together, we are making strides toward transforming lives.

Without partnerships like the one we have with Fisher House, Operation Motorsport would not be able to execute our programs at the scale needed to reach those who need it most. These collaborations embody the very spirit of teamwork that we aim to cultivate within our Beneficiaries—a reminder that together, we can achieve far more than we ever could alone.

Looking Forward

Operation Motorsport is immensely grateful for Fisher House Hero Miles and their extraordinary generosity. The donated flights have not only allowed more veterans to participate but have also broadened the horizons of what our organization can accomplish. This partnership reflects the power of collective effort in creating opportunities and hope for those who have served.

As we continue to expand our reach and evolve our programs, we remain committed to ensuring that veterans have the resources, support, and community they deserve. Partnerships like the one with Fisher House are an integral part of that journey. Together, we are proving that teamwork truly does make the dream work—and in our case, it’s a dream of empowering veterans to thrive beyond service.

Thank you, Fisher House Foundation, for your unwavering support and for helping Operation Motorsport continue to build Team, Identity, and Purpose for our nation’s heroes.
